My classes will begin playing flag football tomorrow outside. Today we played a lead-up game, 'Touchdown'. This is a passing game that requires teamwork and allows students to practice throwing and catching the football.
Students did a 4 minute AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible) of the following activities for a warm up:
50 jumping jacks
10 push ups
50 mountain climbers
10 curl ups
20 second plank
After the warm up we continued playing Speedball. We started this unit on Tuesday. Speedball is played like soccer when the ball is on the ground, but students can "lift" the ball and then pass or shoot to score.
Today was Workout Wednesday!! Students rotated through several fitness stations, such as: burpees, push-ups, plank, jump rope, wall balls, and stretching. Tomorrow we will be back to playing Pickleball.
We began playing Pickleball today. The students practiced serving the ball with correct form: hitting the ball below the waist and sending the ball diagonally across the net. We will continue playing pickleball for the remainder of this week.
